Stitching Stories

Stitching Stories

is an inspiring exhibition where eleven  quilters tell their stories through stitch.  Each quilter has a personal story and each quilt has a story to tell - the techniques  used are as diverse as the stories.

This blog is a visual catalogue of the exhibition, to select a particular quilter trawl down the "Posts Archive" on the left.  Under each entry are the quilters' stories, photographs including details of materials and techniques, and the story of each quilt.

taken before the hang was finished or the lights adjusted this pictures gives an idea of the scale of the exhibition - it disappears out of sight!

Of course photographs are good, but there's nothing like visiting an exhibition to experience the real thing.  We hope these pictures tantalise you into visiting what is an exciting display of self expression through stitch.

Take advantage of meeting the artist at scheduled  floor talks and walks through the exhibition.

Many of the quilts are for sale - just contact curator Jacqueline Taylor on 0418 357 814.

Still at work, up to date photos later this week.
